From my workshop in Hertfordshire England I hand make bags and satchels to customers specifications from high quality vegetable tanned leather.
I use the best solid brass fittings and waxed linen thread. As is traditional with satchels the bags are unlined.
From the marking and cutting to the hand stitching and finishing, every care is taken to produce an individually crafted item that if looked after will provide a lifetime of service.

CHOICES
Customers can choose the colour, bag size and style of fittings to be used. Some colours may take a little more time to source, but I always have stocks of black, dark brown and tan as these are the more traditional. As each stage of the construction is done by hand I can incorporate customers ideas creating a unique item. Leather is a natural product so it will improve with use and the colours will mature to become rich and deep.
PRICING
There is no menu of pricing as each bag is unique and and will need more or less time and leather depending on the style. The individual bag pages on the website will give you an idea of how much it would cost to make a similar bag.
ORDERING
After the design elements have been finalised I will ask for a deposit of 50% of the finished price before I begin work. I am sorry but orders cancelled after work has begun will mean the loss of the deposit. Once complete I will send you some images of your bag and request the final payment. Once final payment is received your item will be securely packaged and despatched via Parcel Force for delivery within 3 working days (mainland UK). It is usually quicker but please allow 4-6 weeks from the time of deposit being taken for your bag to be made and sent out. Mainland UK postage is free of charge, please email regarding UK offshore and international postage details. International shipping will be via air freight and a shipping price quotation will be supplied before any orders are placed. Customers are responsible for any additional taxes, customs charges or import duties relevant to their countries policies when receiving international orders.
Returns
The purchaser must ensure that all measurements and design specifications are correct and as required before the deposit is paid as refunds will only be given and returns will only be accepted for faulty items, inline with the Sale of Goods Act and UK trading standards – for more details please visit the UK Government SOGA information pages.
